Staycay at the Waldorf — whether I’d book it again

I’m writing this from the staycay, not from the sofa a week later. That matters. Hotels look different when you’ve just done the school run and the AC in the car is still fighting 40 degrees.

What’s worth it: the quiet. This is not a party hotel. If you want a UAE weekend that feels like you left Dubai without leaving the country, that’s the brief. The grounds do the work — you don’t need a packed itinerary.

What’s just pretty: the bits you’ll already see on everyone’s Stories. I’m not going to sell you the sunset. I’ll tell you on the Reel if the food and the room matched the photos.

Who it’s for: a date night or a two-night reset. Not a kids’ waterpark weekend. We booked this ourselves — not hosted — so if I say go, that’s my card, not a press trip.
